Your notifications stay yours

Notch Light does not require an internet connection and does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, accounts, or telemetry.

Notifications are read in memory

Notification contents are read only in memory to decide when and how to show a ring. They are not stored or transmitted.

Settings never leave the phone

Rules, presets, and camera-cutout calibration stay on your device.

No network, no tracking

There is no internet connection requirement, and no analytics, advertising SDKs, accounts, or telemetry are included.

What the app requests

  • Notification access - so it can respond to notifications.
  • Overlay permission - to draw around the cutout.
  • Notification and battery settings (optional) - for its own status notices and screen-wake features.

What it never requests

The app does not request camera, location, contacts, phone, SMS, or storage access.

Sharing a report

Detection reports are yours to send

If you choose to share a detection report or device profile, the share action is initiated by you. The report contains device details needed to diagnose cutout placement, such as manufacturer, model, screen resolution, density, and cutout rectangle.

This policy applies to the Notch Light Android app, package com.notchlight.studio.
